I’ve always loved the movement, colour and linear nature of graffiti as well as the simplified and abstracted form that illustration provides, which is what this style of working I’ve developed is AALLLLL about! Over the course of this two day workshop I’m going to take you through the step-by-step process of creating one of these vibrating florals so that you can have one of your very own to hang on a wall.
I started working with florals not because they’re easy, but because I found them so dang hard, each flower is it’s own portrait! Because I found it so difficult I had to develop a few little tips and tricks to take away the complexity of it all and imbue my canvas with the fun and frolicking nature of a field of flowers. What does this mean for you? I get to teach you the simplified route to making it all happen!
We will learn from the bottom up: grounding your canvas, drawing, values, colour matching and saturation… No artistic stone will go unturned, making this a perfect for workshop for all skill sets, 15 years and up.
